Some of his very first memories are of fishing for trout on the Oriskany Creek in Clark Mills, NY as a toddler. Right from the "get go," a deep passion developed for fishing. A passion that has fueled travels across New York State to sample all the fine fishing it has to offer.
After a family move into the rural setting of Lairdsville, NY, hunting meshed perfectly into that same passion. It just seemed as though Issiah was meant to bond with the outdoors at its basic levels.
Upon graduating from high school, Issiah attended Paul Smith's College of arts and science in the Adirondacks. His intellectual dream was to become a writer.
Financial demands led to a career as a truck driver, and eventually to his wife Lori. After getting married, Issiah took up residence in the small farming community of Steuben, NY.
The serene country setting was an ideal place for someone with such a deep connection to the natural order of things. Exploring new pursuits led to fur trapping and a year round outlet for the passionate sportsman. Issiah has also become very fond of passing on the fulfillment of the outdoor world with his young niece and nephews that live close by.
As the internet grew and became more mainstream, Issiah found a way to share his writings with fellow sportsmen and friends. Sharing his outdoor experiences in the form of journals and blogs on popular websites and forums led to quite a bit of positive feedback.
Encouragement and support from friends and readers eventually led to the road of becoming an author. A lot of hard work and dedication has led to his 1st book: Hunting, Fishing, & Trapping New York (2011). An entire year of his outdoor sporting adventures described in passionate detail.
